Former Calhoun High standout Kaelan Riley made his share of game-changing plays during his career as a Jacket. He’s taken that same ability to the college level at Mercer.
Riley, a redshirt-freshman quarterback, was named the Southern Conference Freshman of the Year on Tuesday after a debut season in which he threw for 2,030 yards and 13 touchdowns and ran for another 193 yards and four touchdowns for the Bears. He was also named to the conference’s All-Freshman Offense
Teammate and former Calhoun standout Chandler Curtis also earned recognition as he was named to the SoCon First Team Special Teams as a kick returner.
