Former Calhoun High standout and current UGA player Trent Frix had a special day in Athens on Saturday as the long-snapper was one of 31 seniors recognized before the Bulldogs’ 42-13 victory over Kentucky on Senior Day.
Frix, who transferred to UGA prior to the 2013 season after a year at the Air Force Academy, has followed in his father Mitch and brother Ty’s footsteps by carrying on the legacy of Frix long-snappers for the Bulldogs. He handled long-snapping duties again on Saturday in the win over the Wildcats to help kicker Rodrigo Blankenship to a 6-for-6 day on extra points and punter Cameron Nizialek average 48 yards on two punts.

Frix and the Bulldogs will complete their regular season on Saturday with a rivalry showdown against Georgia Tech at noon in Atlanta before playing in the SEC Championship Game the following Saturday.
