The Calhoun softball and football teams had incredible seasons that ended in state championships for both this past Fall, and last Wednesday they were recognized for their accomplishments during a House of Representatives session at the Georgia Capitol.
The two athletic programs along with Calhoun’s One Act Play state champions were the special guest of Representative John Meadows and were recognized during the morning session last Wednesday. Calhoun softball head coach Diane Smith and Calhoun football head coach Hal Lamb were each called up to the front along with seniors from their team for a few words and a pictured.
