CALHOUN INFO: The Lady Jackets have now won eight straight games going into the second round, including sweeps in all three rounds of the Region 6-AAA Playoffs and the first round of the Class AAA State Tournament, which came in the form 19-0 and 16-0 wins over Cedar Grove. …They are aiming for their fifth straight trip to the Elite Eight in Columbus and are in the second round for the sixth straight season. … The pitching staff led by starters Maggie McBrayer and Blair Hall have now thrown seven shutouts this season after adding two more in the first round, and the offense has now scored 52 runs in their last four games.
