The Calhoun High School JV Soccer team competed in the Garden Lakes JV tournament in Rome on Saturday, March 10, and came back with a first-place trophy.

The Jackets played some stiff competition and had to battle a rainstorm in the final match, but they finished the day with a perfect record and the championship trophy by defeating Carrollton, 3-1, last years champ MacIntosh, 3-0, and Bremen 2-0 for a tournament total points of 40.

Scoring for the Jackets were Edward Soto with six Goals, and Owen Mendez and Nestor Hernandez one each. Assists were recorded by Chris Deleon and Christain Vasquez with two each and Edwardo Huitanda, Owen Mendez, Brady Ebersold and Edward Soto with one apiece.

The Calhoun JV boys will play again on Monday, March 19 at home against Bremen at 7 p.m.
