The Calhoun girls golf team is taking a road trip on Monday with hopes of coming back on Tuesday with their third straight Class AAA State title.

The Lady Jackets, fresh off winning the Area 4-AAA title last week at Fields Ferry, will travel to Blackshear on Monday to compete in the Class AAA State Tournament at the Okefenokee Country Club. The tournament will be a two-day, 36-hole competition this year for the first time. Seniors Kate Mashburn and Maddie Crump are attempting to complete their high school career with their third state title.

Sonoraville’s Clara Hulsey will also compete in the tournament after qualifying as an individual at Area.
