Five Gordon Central seniors got one more chance to put on their pads as they played in the American Youth Council Georgia Northwest All-Star Bowl on Saturday at Marietta High.
The five players representing the Warriors (pictured, from left to right) were Branson Towe, Martavius Harris, Brenty Silvar, Dorian McConnell and Cameron Williams. The five played for the Generals, which was the team made up of players from Murray, Gordon, Dade, Chattooga, Catoosa, Floyd and Walker Counties. The Giants were made up of players from Douglas, Paulding, Bartow and Polk Counties.
Silvar (safety) and McConnell (defensive line) started on defense for the Generals, and Williams played a lot of reps at outside linebacker. Harris split reps at quarterback for the Generals, and Towe saw time at running back.
The Giants held on for a tough 16-10 victory over the Generals.
