The Sonoraville Lady Phoenix competition team finished off an undefeated JV season recently, and they carried that momentum right over to the varsity level. The team finished first at the Adairsville Invitational on Saturday ahead of Murray County.

The team (pictured with their trophy on Saturday) is led by head coach Ginger Reeves and assistant coach Taylor Kile.

“Coach Taylor and I are extremely proud of them,” said Reeves. “Thank you to all the family, friends and fans that came out to support these athletic young ladies at the Adairsville Invitational. We loved seing all the red Phoenix shirts.”

Sonoraville’s next competition will be Saturday at Woodstock.

This year’s team members include: Freshmen Keslei Craddock, Kailee Bearden, Natalie Knight, Raven Passley and Kelsee Phillips; Sophomores Hailey Robinson, Kourtney Semon and Mariah Key; Juniors Faith Austin, Alea Logan and Kelly Rule; Seniors Anna Bramlett, Audrey Carroll, Kirsten Gordon, Ivie Parker and Brianna Towers.

Reeves also wanted to thank the team’s sponsors: Simply Southern, A-1 Appraisal Associates, Southern Reconstruction, Velo Vineyard, Cherokee Cycles, Sabrina Poole with Lusk and Associates, Tapestry Hospice, Scott’s Pharmacy and MoHawk. “It truly takes the whole community to build a successful program,” said Reeves.
