Both Calhoun and Sonoraville are headed to Columbus this weekend to compete at Class AAA State Sectionals after their performances at Region last Saturday at the University of West Georgia. The Lady Jackets finished fourth at Region and the Lady Phoenix took sixth as both squads punched their ticket to compete at Sectionals on Friday in Columbus. Both teams will be aiming for a top-eight finish to claim a spot in the State Finals along with the eight region champions on Saturday, also in Columbus.

The Lady Phoenix are coached by Ginger Reeves.
