The Calhoun Lady Jackets traveled to play in the Kennesaw Mountain Tournament this past weekend and went 2-2 with several impressive individual performances.
The Lady Jackets dropped a tough one to Pope on Friday, 3-2. They then rebounded with a huge offensive performance in in the second game of the night, defeating North Paulding 21-9. Calhoun lost to Lassiter on Saturday 4-2, but came back to finish the tournament on a strong note, beating Harrison 9-0.
Lona Sims pitched in all four games for Calhoun, earning two wins, including a shutout in the final game. She was named to the All-Tournament Team as she also batted .625. Hannah Mashburn had a great tournament as well, going 10-of-11 at the plate.
