Sonoraville High senior Caleb Storm (front row, center) signed a football scholarship with Point University (West Point, Ga.) on Thursday.
Storm said of the signing: “I’m going to miss the people here at Sonoraville. I’ve got a lot of friends here, many I’ve had since elementary school. So I’m definitely going to miss the people here. I consider a lot of my coaches, teachers and the staff here my friends and really family so I’m going to miss all of them. My family and I went down (to Point) to visit, and we really just kind of fell in love with the campus. It’s a really nice school. It’s a smaller school and in a smaller-type town so it was a great fit for myself and my personality. I just love football and getting a chance to play it is fantastic. I’m just really looking forward to being able to say I’m a college football player.”
Also attending the signing were: Sonoraville High principal Bruce Potts (front row, from left), mother Pam Storm, father Jim Storm, Sonoraville High assistant football coach Chance Hicks, Sonoraville High assistant football coach Jeff Davis (back row, from left), Sonoraville High assistant football coach Denver Pater, Sonoraville High assistant football coach Jason Muehling, brother Jared Storm, brother Levi Storm, Sonoraville High athletic director Brent Mashburn and Sonoraville High head football coach Jim Kremer.
