Sonoraville High senior Ian Clark (front row, center) signed a wrestling scholarship with Life University (Marietta, Ga.) on Thursday.

Clark said of the signing: “(Life University) is a great environment to succeed in wrestling. I feel like I can win there, and my major is perfect for them. The price is very affordable too. I’m going to miss all these guys that I’ve gone to school with and wrestling with them. They are the best friends I’ve ever had. I’ll definitely miss them. I’m looking forward to the competition and trying to succeed and be an All-American. I’m looking forward to meeting new friends and my new teammates.”

Also attending the signing were: Mother Tammy A. Clark (front row, from left), father Josh Clark, Sonoraville High principal Bruce Potts (back row, from left), Sonoraville High athletic director Brent Mashburn, grandmother Mary Hamby, sister Phoebe Clark, stepmother Carry Clark, Sonoraville High head wrestling coach Randy Steward and Sonoraville High assistant wrestling coach Jason Muehling.
