Recently, the September #GCS2ndMile Award was presented to Tim Spieker.
Spieker is an integral part of the technology team that has worked tirelessly over the last few months to distribute close to 7000 iPads through the district’s 1:1 initiative. He was nominated by Chuck Langston, a member of his team who has worked with him throughout the process, “Tim has gone above and beyond during the 1:1 deployment,” said Langston. “He has taken on much of the extra work of configuring the devices, while managing his normal workload.”
Spieker, who has been with the Gordon County Schools’ Technology Department since 2009, is a true reflection of the spirit of the #GCS2ndMile Award. “Tim is an exceptional member of Gordon County Schools’ family. He is loyal to our district, and he is always willing to step up and make work anything we need him to do. He never complains about the extra responsibilities, and he is the first to step up to learn something new. We are very blessed to have him in our community,” said Dr. Susan Remillard, superintendent.
Tim will be honored at the October Board of Education meeting.
