A 22-year-old Calhoun woman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault in the stabbing of her boyfriend, according to Chief Garry Moss of the Calhoun Police Department.
On January 31 at 3:45 a.m. officers were dispatched to a home on Peters Street in reference to a caller, later identified as Randi Chiesa stating that her boyfriend was injured and having trouble breathing.
Upon arrival officers saw a male sitting in a vehicle with a puncture wound to his chest.
After speaking with the victim and Chiesa it was determined that a domestic dispute became physical resulting in the man being stabbed in the chest by Chiesa with a kitchen knife.
The victim was transported to Erlanger Hospital by Life Flight, he was released early Monday morning.
Chiesa was taken to the Gordon County Jail to await bond proceedings.
