Pelfrey’s third book in series released, book signing to be held Nov. 30 at Adairsville Depot

A drop-by event to celebrate the release of Danny and Wanda Pelfrey’s third book in the Davis Morgan Mystery series, set in Adairsville, will be held Thursday evening, Nov. 30 at the railroad depot in Adairsville from 6 - 8:30 p.m. Early copies of “On Level Ground” will be available for purchase, and the authors on hand to sign them at a special pre-publication price of $14.

“On Level Ground” will be officially released by traditional publisher, CrossLink Publishing, of Castle Rock, Colorado on Dec. 14. At that time, it will be available in bookstores and online at sites such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble. It is the third in a four-book series. The fourth book will be released sometime in middle or late 2018.

Danny and Wanda Pelfrey are natives and residents of Adairsville. Previously, both wrote non-fiction material for publication, only recently trying their hand at “mysteries with a message.” Danny also was the force behind the locally popular “Life in Adairsville,” released in 2015. The first Davis Morgan book was completed by a self-publishing company, but the Pelfreys were pleased to receive contracts from CrossLink for each book since then, insuring greater quality of product and wider distribution.

At the launch on Nov. 30, Davis Morgan’s red Jeep will be parked outside the depot. On the inside, unique refreshments will be served. There will be a special Corra Harris display since the early twentieth century Bartow County author plays a big part in this latest story. A complimentary copy of Harris’s most famous book, “The Circuit Rider’s Wife,” will be given to the first ten people purchasing “On Level Ground.” Some of the Pelfrey’s previous books will also be available at special prices.

Danny and Wanda invite all to drop by sometime during the two-and-a-half-hour span to join the celebration and take care of some Christmas shopping.
