Christina Leigh Black, age 35, of Calhoun, passed away in the Erlanger Medical Center.
Christina was born January 27, 1982 in Whitfield County, daughter of Tim Black and Cindy Lambert. She was employed in the textile industry and was a graduate of Calhoun High School. She was preceded in death by her step-brother, Britt Barnette.
She is survived by her mother; Cindy Lambert of Calhoun, her father; Tim Black of Nickelsville, one son; Jeric Lewis of Calhoun, and one brother; Canyon Black of Nickelsville. Uncles, aunts, and a number of cousins also survive.
A celebration of life will be conducted Thursday, November 30th at 2pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Benham officiating.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 12pm until 2pm at the funeral home.

He is survived by his daughter, Jenna Finch of Cartersville, Georgia; sons, Linwood (Joselynn) Jackson of Atlanta, Georgia, Malcom (Takila) Finch of Calhoun, Demar Almond and Natasha Turner of Rome, Georgia; Jasmond (Taneesha) Foster of Cartersville, Prince (Sara) King of Kingston, Georgia; sisters, Earra (James) Gardner of Chicago, Illinois, Barbara Finch of Cartersville; brother, Peter Chambers of Calhoun; twenty-one grandchildren, three great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral Service will held on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 452 West Line Street, Calhoun, Georgia with Rev. Reginald D. McDaniel as Eulogist and Pastor James Washington officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service. Interment, Chandler Cemetery. Mrs. Claudia Marie Masy, 89, of Barrett Road, Calhoun, departed this life on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 25, 2017 at a healthcare facility in Dalton.
Mrs. Masy was born on March 29, 1928 in Jauche, Belgium. She was a daughter of her late parents Aimee and Pellagie Houbeau. Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Emile Masy; and two daughters, Chantal Masy and Nicole St. Arnaud.
She was of the Catholic faith.
Mrs. Masy is survived by her only daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Jimmy McCoy of Adairsville; two grandchildren, Chantal St. Arnaud and Alexia Masy; and a very special friend, neighbor and caregiver for over 20 years Marie Chadwick, of Calhoun.
Graveside service for Mrs. Claudia Marie Masy was held on Friday, Dec. 1, 2017 at 2 p.m. from Fain Cemetery with James Taylor officiating.
The family received friends on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Calhoun Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home.

Good night sweet Carolyn...It is with deep sadness that the family and friends of Carolyn Zacharias, said good-bye on Oct. 29, 2017. She was born in Cicero, Ind. on June 24, 1933 and passed beside her loving husband, Harold, in Calhoun. Her energetic, creative, loving faith and strength will be missed by her husband of 63 years, three daughters, one son, their husbands and wife, twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Although life will not be the same to all she knew, they look forward to spending eternity together in heaven.
