An RV fire that spread near the Calhoun Stockyard held Gordon County Firefighters on scene for 4 hours, according to GCFD.
At 10:19 p.m. on Tuesday Gordon County Firefighters were dispatched to Calhoun Stockyard in reference to a possible structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters noticed the fire wasn't a structure fire at Calhoun Stockyard, but a nearby RV was in flames.
Due to the close proximity of several hay bales, the fire subsequently spread and increased in size, according to GCFD.
After 4 hours, the GCFD was able to contain the fire and keep it from damaging any nearby structures.
No one was injured during the incident, but an SUV, which was parked in the area, received some heat exposure, according to the GCFD.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated, according to the GCFD.
