Susan Irene Talley Davis, age 75, of Calhoun, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Erlanger Health System.
Susan was born on May 23, 1941 in Gordon County to the late C.L. Silvers and Bessie Silvers Abercrombie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Davis; two sons, Grover Lewis and Charles “Chuck” Talley, Jr.; and two brothers, Ford Silvers and Lawrence Silvers.
Susan is survived by two daughters, Kathie Lewis Hartley and Buddy Gray of Calhoun and Cindy Talley of LaGrange; two sons, Jeff Talley of LaGrange and Scott Talley of Hogansville; seven sisters, Elizabeth Tatum and her husband Jordan of Ranger, Shelba Marker of Ranger, Stella Tatum and her husband Ed of Adairsville, Doris Blaylock and her husband Buford of Calhoun, Charlotte Vaughan and her husband Bert of Calhoun, Shelia Callaway and her husband R.L. of Calhoun and Deborah Tomlinson and Roger Davis of Calhoun; sisters-in-law, Diane Silvers and Sandy Silvers. Nine grandchildren, Caleb Hartley, Christie Pedigro, Shannon Snyder, Josh Talley, Jade Talley, Jana Talley, Danielle Daniels, Carson Talley and Emma Talley; eight great-grandchildren; Special people in her life are caretakers, Jade Talley and Jacob Bulls; great-grandson, Nathan Nazworth; and friend, Jennifer Talley.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, May 5 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Ricky Silvers officiating. Music will be conducted by Nina Payne. Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Ranger with Jacob Bulls, Caleb Walker, R.L. Callaway, Bert Vaughan, Roger Davis and Derrick Silvers serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends prior to the funeral on Friday from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour at 2 p.m.

Mr. William “Bill” Caylor, 54, of Marietta, died Tuesday, May 2, 2017. He was born on Dec. 25, 1962, son of Jean Peden Jones, and the late Billy J. Caylor. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gregg Caylor; and grandparents, Grady and Cleo Caylor, and Fred and Nettie Peden.
Bill was a commercial and industrial Electrician for 25 years. He served in the National Guard for 12 years. He loved remote controlled planes, cars and boats.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Connie Dortch Caylor; his son and daughter-in-law, Adam and Shelly Dortch of Plainville; his sisters and brother-in-law, Lisa and Ricky Ridley of Chatsworth, and Sherry Overton of Fair Hope, Ala.; and grandchildren, Amberly Dortch, Addison Dortch, and Emma and Sophie Bohannon. Nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews also survive.
Services to honor the life of Mr. William “Bill” Caylor will be held Saturday, May 6 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 p.m. until the service hour of 2 p.m.

Mrs. Myrtle Williams Reed, 79, of Resaca, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Gordon Hospital. She was born in Gordon County on May 18, 1937, daughter of the late Fred and Essie Gravitt Williams.
During her lifetime, Myrtle had been employed with Galaxy Carpets and Astro Dye. She was a member of South Calhoun Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Buster Reed; her sons and daughters-in-law, L.C. Ricky Reed, Randy and Diane Reed, and Mitch and Angela Reed; brothers and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Annette Williams, and Fred and Carla Williams; sisters and brother-in-law, Gerri Serritt, Annie Belle Franklin, Peggy Fowler, and Margie and Gene Edwards; grandchildren, Amy McKnight, Colby Reed, Allison Reed, Ashley Reed, Axel Reed, Mandy Reed, Brian Reed, and Dustin Reed; and ten great-grandchildren.
Services to honor the life of Mrs. Myrtle Williams Reed will be held Friday, May 5 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Barry Tow officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Morgan Leroy Watters, age 64, of Plainville, Georgia passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017 in Rome, Georgia. He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church, U. S. Army Veteran, and was preceded in death by his parents, Deacon Melvin L. Watters, Elizabeth Caroline Morgan Watters, and sister, Glenda Harris.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Loraine Kennedy Watters of nineteen years; two sons, Morgan Brandon Watters of Calhoun, Georgia, and Johnny (Amy) Pritchett, Jr. of Marietta, Georgia; two daughters, LaSonya Watters of Adairsville, Georgia, and Benita (Kinneth) Strawder of Calhoun; nine grandchildren, Candice, Taurus, Jonathan, Jayden, Ava, Justice, Jace, Jett, and Khyzan; sisters, Francess (Waitsul) Brown, Marilyn Pope; brother, Minister Calvin (Charlotte) Watters; aunts, Edna Dallas, Minnie Morgan; uncle, Hiram Morgan, Jr.; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral Service will be on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Kingdom Church International, 5415 Calhoun Road, N. E., Adairsville, Georgia 30103 with Pastor Carlos Calhoun as the Eulogist.
