Kids of all ages are invited to enjoy Trillium Farms Christmas Open House this Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 10 – 11, from 1 p.m. - dusk each day.
The farm, which was born of the heart and compassion from owner Mr. Gary, decorates their large barn that houses the farm’s therapy animals, into a Christmas Wonderland, complete with a doll collection, a mock General Store, a Nutcracker collection, bright lights, lots of décor and of course, an area where Santa Claus visits children and takes their wish lists.
For more than 40 years, Mr. Gary knew he wanted to do something special for kids and their families, especially for kids with special needs. In the early 2000’s, he bought over 60 acres in Ranger and began building Trillium Farms as a place to commune with nature.
Visitors at the farm can enjoy petting and feeding the animals, including miniature ponies, goats, sheep and other farm animals. There will also be hay rides throughout the event.
After touring the barn, hot cocoa, drinks, cookies and popcorn will provided and in the evenings, a bonfire will be built for all to enjoy.
The event is completely FREE for anyone to enjoy; there is no cost for petting zoo, refreshments, hay ride or Santa visits.
Trillium Farms is located at 983 Pearl Johnson Road in Ranger. For more information, visit www.trilliumfarms.com.
