4-H Homeschool Club visits Voluntary Action Center

Homeschool 4-H’ers stocking food pantry shelves at the VAC.

On Tuesday, February 13, the Gordon County 4-H Homeschool Club visited the Voluntary Action Center.  The 4-H’ers heard from Assistant Director Karen Poole about the services offered by the Voluntary Action Center, including the community kitchen, the food pantry, the thrift store, rent and utility assistance, and shower and laundry services.  After learning about the services provided to the community by the Voluntary Action Center, the 4-H’ers went to work, helping to sort food donations and stock the shelves for the food pantry.
