(Calhoun, Ga.) -- Gordon Hospital, a member of Adventist Health System, is pleased to announce that current employee Kevin Rodman, RN, has been promoted to emergency department director.

Rodman has been employed by Gordon Hospital for nearly two years as the nurse manager of the emergency department and during this time, has become an integral part of the leadership team.

“We are excited about the future of our emergency department and are thankful for the dedication and hard work of the emergency department team,” said Amy Jordon, chief nursing officer of Gordon Hospital. “We are thankful for Kevin’s leadership and all he continues to do for our emergency department.”

“I am honored and excited to be invited into an increased leadership role with individuals and a facility that demonstrates its mission: extending the healing ministry of Christ,” said Rodman. “This is seen primarily through genuine compassion and technical skill in delivering accurate care, as we are a healthcare facility, but it is also seen in individuals taking the time to connect personally with others to meet their emotional and spiritual needs. I have personally felt this and hope I can also meet this need with those I come in contact with.”

Outside of his profession, Rodman enjoys spending time with his wife, Charlene, and biking, hiking, and listening to classical music.
