(Calhoun, Ga.) — According to the American Heart Association, cardiovascular disease in the U.S. kills approximately one woman every 80 seconds. The good news is that 80 percent of cardiac events may be prevented with education and lifestyle changes.
Gordon Hospital employees joined the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women® movement on Friday, Feb. 2, 2018 to help raise awareness and save more lives. Initiated by the American Heart Association, Wear Red Day is a national awareness movement held on the first Friday of every February created to highlight the number one cause of death among women: heart disease, stroke, and all other cardiovascular diseases.
