On Thursday, Dec. 21, more than 20 Gordon County 4-H’ers participated in several community service projects to celebrate the holiday season.  About fifteen 4-H’ers rang the bell for Salvation Army outside Wal-Mart in Calhoun from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., offering up Christmas cheer and receiving donations to benefit Salvation Army.  Also, eight 4-H’ers visited Calhoun Health Care nursing home to play bingo with the residents and pass out prizes and gifts.
