Gordon Central Performing Arts presents Disney's Beauty and the Beast beginning this weekend

Gordon Central High School's Performing Arts presents Disney's Beauty and the Beast, beginning tomorrow, April 27, and running through Sunday, May 7. The shows will be held at Gordon Central's Blue Box Theatre on campus.

The show was originally produced by Disney Theatrical Productions. The live show brings the famous animated cartoon to life, which focuses on the relationship between the Beast, a prince who is magically transformed into a monster as punishment for his arrogance, and Belle, a young woman whom he imprisons in his castle. To become a prince again, Beast must learn to love Belle and earn her love in return to avoid remaining a monster forever. 

Performances are: Thursday, April 27 at 7 p.m.; Friday, April 28 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, April 29 at 7 p.m.; Sunday, April 30 at 2:30 p.m.; next Thursday, May 4 at 7 p.m.; Friday, May 5 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, May 6 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 7 at 2:30 p.m.
