The GEM Theatre is kicking off 2017 with new shows and performances sure to please viewers of all ages.
On Saturday, Jan. 14, the GEM will present the popular Disney Pixar children’s flick “Finding Nemo.”
The movie is described by the GEM as the story of the overprotective clownfish named Marlin, who, along with a regal blue tang named Dory, searches for his abducted son, Nemo, all the way to Sydney Harbour. Along the way, Marlin learns to take risks and comes to terms with Nemo taking care of himself.
Children 10 and under get free admission to the movie but children’s tickets must be obtained at the box office. All other tickets are $5.
The following week, the GEM will show “Finding Dory,” the popular Disney Pixar follow-up to “Finding Nemo,” on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 7 p.m.
The GEM says “Finding Dory” focuses on the amnesiac fish Dory, who journeys to be reunited with her parents. Along the way, she is captured and taken to a California public aquarium, from which Marlin and Nemo attempt to rescue her.
Again, children 10 and under will get in to this movie for free but a child’s ticket must be obtained at the box office. All other tickets are $5.
The GEM is proud to present Pam Tillis live on stage on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m.
Tillis is a three-time CMA award winner, including the prestigious 1994’s Female Vocalist Of The Year Award and a two-time Grammy award winner with such country hits as s “Shake the Sugar Tree,” “Let That Pony Run,”“Cleopatra, Queen of Denial,” “Spilled Perfume,” and “Mi Vida Loca (My Crazy Life).”
