Food Trucks & Friends is back. The United Way of Gordon County Young Leaders Society (YLS Gordon County), Downtown Calhoun and Wall Street Grille are coming together to host Food Trucks & Friends on Thursday, Nov. 2, from 5 until 9 p.m. at the historic Calhoun Depot.
A few changes have been made this time around to better serve the attendees. No wristband is required to enter and the event will have more seating both inside and outside to accommodate guests. Guests are also encouraged to bring a lawn chair if they choose.
This event is free and open to the public, according to Suzanne Roberts, Downtown Development director. Various food trucks will be on location serving up a variety of entrees for purchase and will also have non-alcoholic drinks available. Wall Street Grille will be on location selling beer and wine (cash only). The event hosts encourage patrons to view the food trucks website and social media accounts to become familiar with their menus, however, please keep in mind that some items are seasonal or some menus may be limited and not everything will be served at this event.
The Food Trucks participating include Eazy Eats, Rhino Ribs, Chick-N-Nooga, The Loaded Burger, Super Tot Truck and Kona Ice of Rome. Live music will be provided by Ben Honeycutt.
According to Ashley Goble, United Way of Gordon County director of Communications & Community Involvement, each of the food trucks participating have committed to donating a small portion of their proceeds back to the United Way of Gordon County’s Young Leaders Society.
