The first annual “ASAP Walk and Roll of Georgia” was held on May 18 at the Cherokee Capital Fairgrounds. The goal for the event was to raise awareness and educate the public on chiari malformation and syringomyelia, with the hosts of the event being McKinsey Ingle, Beau Ross and Greer Matthews. The financial goal for the event was to raise $15,000, and according to Myra Ingle, McKinsey's mother, and the walk helped the hosts raise more than they aimed for. All funds will be donated to researching, raising awareness and increasing support for those diagnosed with Chiari Malformation, Syringomyelia and related disorders.
