To celebrate their fourth year in business, the owners of Grandstanz Farm Fresh Grill, located at 1052 Red Bud Road NE in Calhoun, are holding a special benefit concert on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017 at the GEM Theatre. The concert will feature Zoso, the Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience, and will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Proceeds will go towards the Tiny Homes Project for Calhoun.

“We wanted to do something a little different this year and what better way to draw attention to the Tiny Homes Project than with the premier Led Zeppelin tribute act in the country?” said Haley Stephens, owner of Grandstanz and head of Hand Up Housing of Gordon County, which has attempted in the last year to bring Tiny Housing to Calhoun-Gordon County in the form of refurbished mini store-all’s.

“We rank 93rd in the state, poverty-wise, and this has put tremendous pressure on the poor in Gordon County to find affordable housing,” said Stephens. “We live in a great town, but come up way short in this area.”

The benefit concert will feature Zoso, which formed in 1995 to perform the most accurate and captivating Led Zeppelin live show since the real thing. Each band member was carefully selected to portray both the appearance and playing styles of their Led Zeppelin counterparts. In eighteen successful years of touring, they have performed 2400 live shows around the world, including slots at major festivals such as Bonnaroo and Rib America Fest, establishing them as the most traveled and successful band in the market.

Grandstanz, the barn-like restaurant on Red Bud Road, opened on Aug. 8, 2013, adding a breakfast menu the following year. They are known for freshly made biscuits, burgers and hand-cut fries. “We don’t like to brag, but we do say no better biscuit, burger or fries,” said Teresa DeBrock, the restaurant’s manager.

Grandstanz is open from 6 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday - Saturday and has a drive-thru for convenience.

Tickets for the benefit concert are available at calhoungemtheatre.org. Ticket prices are $20, $24 and $28, plus service charges.

Co-sponsors of the concert are Fitness First of Calhoun and Stormax Storage.
