Belmont Baptist Handbell Choir to perform at GEM

The Belmont Baptist Handbell Choir will present a Christmas Concert at the GEM Theatre in downtown Calhoun on Monday, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m. Admission to the concert is a bag of groceries that will be distributed for those in need through the Blewer Food Center. Free tickets are available at the GEM box office and Belmont Baptist Church. More information is available at belmontbapitstchurch.org or call the church office at 706-629-2466.

This is the sixth year for Belmont Handbells to offer this Christmas present to the community in the wonderful GEM facility. New songs are inserted into the program each year. The concert ministry will offer several secular arrangements such as “Jingle Bells,” “White Christmas” and “The Chipmunk Song.” Narration interwoven with Christmas carols will tell the true reason for Christmas including: “Away In A Manger,” “The First Noel”, and “Mary Did You Know.”

The Blewer Food Center is a ministry of the Gordon Memorial Baptist Association and serves hundreds of local families during the year. Blewer information may be obtained at gordonmemorialbaptistassoc.org/blewer or call 706-629-5407.

Belmont Baptist Music Minister Jim Sellers invites you to start your Christmas season with beautiful music while helping those in need.
