RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (AP) -- Joe Rizzo hit a run-scoring single in the seventh inning, leading the Modesto Nuts to a 10-3 win over the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes on Friday.

Manny Pazos scored on the play to give the Nuts a 4-3 lead after he reached base on a walk and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt.

The Nuts later scored six runs in the eighth to finish off the blowout.

Ariel Sandoval doubled twice and singled, driving in three runs for Modesto.

Collin Kober (2-0) got the win with two innings of scoreless, two-hit relief while Connor Strain (0-1) took the loss in the California League game.
