GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) -- Fabricio Macias and Lolo Sanchez connected on back-to-back homers in the third inning to help lead the Greensboro Grasshoppers to an 8-3 victory over Rome Braves on Wednesday.

Macias hit a two-run shot before Sanchez hit a solo shot as part of a six-run inning that gave the Grasshoppers a 6-0 lead.

The Grasshoppers later tacked on a run in both the fourth and eighth innings. In the fourth, Macias scored on a single before he singled to score Raul Siri in the eighth.

Macias homered and singled three times, driving in three runs and scoring a pair in the win.

Greensboro right-hander Nicholas Economos (3-1) picked up the win after allowing one run on three hits over five innings. Opposing starter Odalvi Javier (0-1) took the loss in the South Atlantic League game after giving up four runs and two hits over 2 2/3 innings.

Trey Harris hit a pair of solo homers for the Braves.
