MACON, Ga. (AP) — Bombardier Commercial Aircraft Customer Services will close its Macon facility at the end of the year, putting 89 people out of work.
Company spokeswoman Annabelle Duchesne says the decision to close the facility stems from a plan to consolidate the company's East Coast operations and transfer maintenance work to its facility in Bridgeport, West Virginia.
WGXA-TV reports Duchesne, in a statement, says they're working to provide employees with resources to help them through the transition.
According to Duchesne, the transfer will occur during the last quarter of 2017.
